Boots

Good equipment includes good footwear. Airsoft is skirmished in many environments. The terrain can be rough at times. Boots may provide solid foundation for protecting one's feet from the mud and water, as well as healthy ankle support when encountering ruts and ditches. Water resistant boots of the right size will last and keep one playing safer and longer than a pair of sneakers.

Guidelines for boots:

  • water resistant
  • medium tread
  • lace-up boots that provide ankle support
  • proper size
-wearing boots too small or large can be more dangerous than wearing a proper fitting sneaker
  • wear socks
-logical enough, but wearing socks keeps the feet from being rubbed raw inside the boot

Other boot tips
-lighter weight boots will make the long hikes easier to endure
-clean out the tread between games for better performance
-moisture-wicking socks may make a difference in comfort
-change out of the boots when done to allow them to air out and prevent mold and fungus build-up

Buy a decent pair of boots and they will yield good returns time and again in the field.
